Here’s another “mystery side” that I found in my OHIO files. The KARL label was from Ohio and research leads me to believe this one was released sometime in 1958. If you listen close, there seems to be some Earl Scruggs licks goin’ on.

New Year ….New Blog
For those who might follow this site & like the 60′s garage bands that appear here from time to time… I have started a new site devoted to that music type. Hoping to keep both sites fresh and exciting.
Too much music…..so little time!
check out:
THE BLUES INVENTION —- CINCINNATI

Here’s another mystery band to me as I can’t dig up any info on them. Sounds like a mid-60s release on the GREAT SCOTT label.
JIMMY AND THE GEMS —- UNKNOWN

Here’s another mystery track found in my Ohio folder. I can’t find much info on this cool Link Wray style instrumental but did discover it has been included on several recent compilation cds. I believe it was released in ’62 and is a RITE custom pressing. Any info…welcomed!
BINGO MILLER —- unknown

Here’s a mystery 45rpm (to me) that I have very little info on. From 1958 on the YOUNG ARTISTS label comes Bingo Miller and the Velvetones.A decent rocker that sounds like it would have been popular at high school sock-hops.
For some reason, when I got this file I put it my “Ohio” folder so I’m guessing it metioned it was from the buckeye state but I forgot to note where ! The flip is a doo-wop which can be heard on YouTube. Additional information….always welcomed.
The site is re-born!!!
Yes, after a lengthy down time thanks to Blogger eliminating support to FTP base accounts, I finally decided to use Word Press for my mission. So, unless I can import the contents from the old site…we may revisit alot of the music previously posted. No problem I guess just as long as there is an interest…we will see.
So just as a test here’s a sample:
